Design Philosophy
As a small, independent firm, we pride ourselves on high-quality design, attention to detail, and a passion for creating beautiful and functional spaces. We consider our clients partners in the delivery of their projects and invite them to participate and provide input throughout the design process. We are here to guide you on a journey and provide a framework for gathering your ideas, reflecting them back, and helping you prioritize what’s most important to you.
We are a full-service architectural design firm, guiding you from conception to construction. We bring together collaborative teams utilizing an integrated design process, where consultant expertise is brought in early. Once a design is established, we will work with you to find a general contractor who is a good fit for your project. We strive to address all aspects of each project we work on, from massing to landscape, structure to interiors, and everything in-between.
Guiding Principles
1. Utilize natural, local, and/or reclaimed materials, as often as possible.
2. Make ecologically sensitive and environmentally responsible decisions.
3. Create spaces that contribute to the safety, security, mental health, and pleasure of you and your family/friends.
4. Foster connections between indoor and outdoor spaces.
5. Rely upon natural energy flows, to the greatest extent reasonable.
6. Evoke positive emotional responses.
7. Minimize waste.
8. Allow materiality and structural expression to be the primary means of decoration and organization.
